Canada's Premier Sport & Entertainment Expo For University Athletics
The Canada Sport & Entertainment Expo takes place on Tuesday, May 18, 2027, at the Chelsea Hotel in Toronto as part of the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Congress. The Expo is integrated directly into the Congress meeting agenda, with dedicated time for every delegate to visit exhibitors. That time gives delegates and exhibitors the opportunity to have meaningful conversations about the needs of university athletics programs, explore products and services, and discuss potential partnerships.
OUA is Canada’s largest university athletics conference, serving 20 member institutions and representing 36% of university sport nationally. Its programs bring together more than 9,300 student-athletes and 1,300 coaches across 23 sport offerings, including all 12 sports recognized by U SPORTS. More than 3,000 student-athletes have earned All-OUA Academic status by achieving an average of 80% or higher.
OUA members are home to some of Canada’s leading university sport facilities, including Alumni Stadium at the University of Guelph, the Toldo Lancer Centre at the University of Windsor, Varsity Centre at the University of Toronto, and the Fieldhouse at Carleton University. For exhibitors, the Expo offers time to hear directly from the people who lead and support these programs. For delegates, it’s a chance to discover solutions they can bring back to their campuses.

Limited space available.
Ontario universities are actively planning and exploring capital projects for athletic and recreation facilities, with initiatives ranging from near-term upgrades to long-term, multi-phase developments. Key priorities include turf field replacements, LED lighting upgrades for fields and gyms, and the renewal of aging infrastructure such as bleachers, floors, and arena facilities.
Several institutions reported plans for new or expanded high-performance and recreation centres, featuring sport medicine clinics, strength and conditioning spaces, multi-use gyms, fitness centre expansions, classrooms, and wellness-focused amenities. There is also strong interest in indoor facility development, including field houses, seasonal and permanent domes, indoor tracks, and rigid structures to replace end-of-life inflatable domes.
While some projects are moving forward, many remain conceptual or dependent on funding, partnerships, and approvals, reflecting a strategic, phased approach to facility development over the next several years.
This summary is based on a survey of Ontario University Athletic Membership, conducted in December 2025.

The 2025 Canada Sport & Entertainment Expo wrapped up with incredible energy and excitement, bringing together university sport industry leaders, innovators, and administrators for a dynamic B2B event. It was with a new partnership with OUA and new format. From engaging discussions and hands-on activations and networking opportunities, this year's event truly delivered something for everyone. Relive the highlights in our wrap-up video that captures the best moments from the Expo.
